Filing Cabinet

Tomorrow afternoon Bailey's teacher is coming for a home visit and our house, well it looks like a (little too) well lived in home. I am not at all motivated to change that right now which means tomorrow I will be running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to hang up laundry, wash dishes and vacuum all at the same time. What can I say, I get more done in those adrenaline rush minutes than I probably do all week. Not exactly the best course of action I know, but it gets things done.

Later in the afternoon both of the kids will go to the doctor. Sophie for a vaccination and Bailey for his 3 year old check up (part two). This is gonna throw off the whole prepare dinner while the kids watch a half hour of kids shows on public TV thing that has worked so well. So a quick dinner is in order, but a quick dinner of what? Pasta? Mac-n-cheese? Soup and sandwiches? Leftover chicken and rice? That last one sounded pretty good and won't take too much time. Just heat up the leftover chicken, steam and chop up some broccoli and add it and butter to the rice. Maybe a little sliced tomato and some microwaved potatoes. I think I can, I think I can....

So, that gets Thursday taken care of. Now on to Friday. Get Bailey off to pre-school and Sophie off to daycare so I can go to Japanese class. Hurry home to met the pre-school bus at 12:30 (due to the home visits pre-school is only being held in the morning this week) get Bailey fed and napped up and then off to the dentist. Then pick up Sophie and try to throw dinner together again. Trying to think what is in the fridge/ freezer right now, but I am only able to think about the cheese, ham and mayo that is gonna be my dinner.

Ok, thoughts are a little more organized and stomach is a little louder (FEED ME!! FEED ME!!) and so I can file this all under I think I can, I think I can and just call it a day. (Can you tell that Hubs is away again and that the kids were a little trying today? ) Anybody want to send over dinner on Friday??

Wow! Now is the time to either eat out or pick up some good healthy bentos at the grocery store. That`s what I`ve been doing but shhhhhh....don`t tell my dh (who is away for 2 months).

Yikes- please tell me you had a relaxing weekend after that! There is comfort in reading about others trying days though :)
