Getting Ready

It is quiet here. Quieter than it has been in quite a while and that is a good thing. That means no one is throwing up or hacking their head off. That means that it is almost over.

Thanks to this stomach flu Bailey missed the last two days of his first year of preschool and Sophie only spent one day in daycare this week. But, it has been good. With the kids home sick there was nothing really to do except clean, do laundry and pack.

Our suitcases are already standing, packed in the hallway and Bailey has already started filling his carry-on backpack with things he can't live without. All that is done and we don't even leave until Tuesday.

If all goes well the kids will be in daycare tomorrow, so Hubs and I can catch a movie or go to lunch or just talk. And there is definitely lots to talk about.

I want to get a haircut before we leave and they want me to teach my last English class at the daycare on Monday. Hubs will have to rush around like a chicken with his head cut off on Tuesday to pick up his passport and get his international driver's license all before the plane pulls out of the gate around 3:00.

Seems like it is all winding down or maybe it is all just starting up. . . . .
