Is It Time Yet?!?!?

Watching Bailey spin around the room with a watch on his wrist, you think he'd understand the concept of time. He is after all, wearing a watch and he consults it about every minute or so with updates of, "Mommy, it is 872 now." But nope, the whole concept of time escapes him. And if we don't hurry up and get to Nanny's house I think I am gonna go insane. Witness (and keep in mind this happened first thing this morning, before I even had a chance to get out of bed, much less wake up.)

"Mommy, wake up. I wanna go to Nanny's."
"It's not time yet. We leave on Thursday."
He thrusts his watch in my face. "When the big hand gets to 3, can we go then?"
"Ask me when the big hand gets to three, okay."

Lather. Rinse. Repeat up to 78 times a day for maximum effect.

We are having the EXACT same conversation over here. Every morning, every afternoon, and every evening. "When are we going to Grandma Joan`s house?" They have been counting down for about a month now. When I went to pay for the tickets last week, Kai thought we were actually going to the airport and got really upset and angry when I told him it wasn`t so. LOL.

Have a wonderful trip home! :)

I love it. My girl is doing the same type of thing now with her cheap, plastic, digital watch. The concept of time is totally lost on children that age.

By the way...I have a new blog: http://coffeemama.wordpress.com
