Little Boy, Don't You Think It's Time You Were In Bed?

Dear Bailey,

Despite what you might think, I don't have birthday parties and serve popcorn and cookies and apple juice while you are asleep. There are no pony rides, no favor bags and no clowns. In fact, while you are drifting off to dream I try to do as little as possible.

I might watch TV but it is probably the news not Inai Inai Baa. I might read a book but it is probably one with a few more pages than The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I might listen to a CD but it is more for relaxing than for finger plays and dancing.

So close your eyes. Don't be afraid that you are missing something. I save the best things, like piggy back rides and strawberries, for you and Sophie.

Sweet dreams, little man.

I love you!
Mommy

How cute and sweet! And very creative. Kids always think they are missing something when it's time for sleep! How untrue!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That's hilarious! Accurate, and very cute. Maybe you could record it onto a tape and play it by his bed every night :)
