It Won't Be Long Now

It will be here before you know it. After Big Guy's birthday, after Mandy's birthday, after Bailey's birthday, after Hubs' birthday, but before Mom's birthday. C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S

But it is only September..... OMG, wait it is already September?

Co-ordinating Christmas gift giving when you live so far away can be pretty tricky. You have to find something that won't break, something that won't get crushed, something that won't melt, and most importantly something you didn't give last year.

You pack it all up, Bailey decorates the box with stickers, you lug it to the post office in mid November, send it out air mail (which, by the way, is only supposed to take 7-9 days) and hold your breath. Only to have it arrive weeks after Christmas.

Yes, I know the holiday season is busy for the postal service, but if I pay for air mail, then I want air mail service, gosh darn nit!! (Note: That is how spellcheck spells darn nit. Interesting!!)

Anyway, I have gotten way off track here. What I need are some ideas from those of you at home. What do you want/ need/ desire that won't break, get crushed, melt and not something you already have. And dear, trusty, faithful readers any ideas? Because after seven and a half years here, I think my family has enough chopsticks and folding fans to last a lifetime.
