1. When did you first start blogging and why?

I am new to Blogland having just started in June 2006. At first, blogging was a way to keep in touch with the folks back home who said, "I never get to see the kids." or "I want more pictures of the kids." From there it just kinda evolved. I have always enjoyed writing and reading. Having my own blog enables me to interactive with others in a way I never could before. I got the idea from Mariko whose blog I just love. One day, my baby sister said, "Why don't you quit stalking other people's kids and start your own?" I mulled it over and decided to go for it.

2. What don't you talk about?

As of yet, I haven't met a topic that I didn't like. Having said that, you will never find me writing about my latest discovery or how, twelve years out of high school I now see the reason for all those geometry proofs or other things I know nothing about.

3. Are you and your blogging persona the same person?

My blogging persona, hmm. What you see is what you get. Happy somedays, sad others. Dancing around now, curled up on the couch later. I think my blog persona is pretty much, the real me (after two cups of tea and the kids have gone to bed, that is.)

4. How do you use blogging to build friendships?

At first, you start just browsing around wondering what people will think if you raise your hand and speak out. Then, you find that post that makes you feel something and you keep coming back and leave comments. The other blogger returns the favor and sooner or later you find friendship.

5. How would you describe your writing style?

I try to be as honest as possible. Writing about wherever the white knuckled roller coaster of life sends me. I try to find the humor in everything and try to keep my head up and an open heart and mind.
