A fever.
A high fever (103).
Nothing else.
No cough. No runny nose. No red throat. At least, nothing we can see from the outside.
You have been here for three days and it is time for you to be moving on and give us back our happy, smiling girl.
And, just in case you were thinking it, moving on to another person in this family DOES NOT COUNT!! Of course, you were never one to play by the rules, so bring me down if you must, but leave the kids out of it.
Thank you kindly.

Oh we had that! I think my daughter ran the high fever for a grand total of 4 days? After the fever went down, about a day later, came the runny nose and cough.
Hope your little one starts to feel better soon and that no one else gets it!

I hope your daughter is feeling better soon!
I hope your little one, starts to feeling better real soon! : )
my oldest often got fever viruses when she was little - would act fine except she had a high fever - no other symptoms ever came out of them.
last year a fever virus went around my kids school - they had high fevers for about a week.
i'm so sorry ;(
Fingers crossed that it will pass - and as you say, NOT on to one of you. But I agree, when the kids are ill with a fever, it makes me feel almost worse than when I have it.
