This is the time of end of the year parties in Japan. A way for companies to say, hey, thanks for your hard work this year and let's keep in up in 2007.
That could explain the lack of family time this week.
The last one is tonight and if it is anything like last night, Hubs will be out of commission all day tomorrow.... the first day of the new year's break.... the day I had arranged for the day care to watch Bailey and Sophie so we could watch a movie and have a quiet, unrushed lunch together... the day I had planned and told him about weeks ago.
It is kinda like expecting a nice Anna Sui handbag for Christmas and opening your present up to find all you got was a brown bag from the local grocery store. Sure, I could still use the brown bag, but it just ain't the same as taking your Anna Sui out to lunch.

awwww Hugs!
Hopefully he is not too hung over!
I hope you get your Anna Sui soon! Paper bags just don't cut it. LOL!
I do hope dear Hub will wake up not too hungover and ready to play with you tomorrow. I hate that enkais take the husbands away from the family even more than the regular work does. Keep him to his promise for your day out together, and give him a good strong cup of coffee and a couple of painkillers when you wake him (with a nice kiss!) tomorrow morning!!!
Good luck!
Remember those stupid Aeon parties we had to go to? Ahhh, the memories. . .
i'm sorry :(
Sorry! Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Have to admit that I have no idea what an Anna Sui handbag is. But hope you had a quiet and unrushed time together.
Have a great year ahead.
