The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh

Whatcha Been Doing?
Candle making. It was really easy for the kids to do and Sophie even enjoyed it. Basically, they gave you a pre-formed candle and five small sheets of wax that could be shaped at rolled like clay or play-do. Bailey chose a blue candle for his base ans Sophie a pink one. After they were finished decorating them, they were dipped in glittery wax and allowed to dry.
We also went to a blessing for Hub's younger sister's new house.

Am I The Only One. . . .
*that eats chocolate after the kids go to bed, just so I don't have to share?
*that sometimes locks myself in the bathroom just to get a few minutes of peace and quiet?
*that likes Jacob more than Edward in the Twilight series?
*that can't stand to throw a book away, even when the kids have already torn out and lost half of the pages?
*that takes a shower at night before going to bed and another in the morning ?(and not just during Japan's humid summers either)
*that wants it to hurry up, and like, be fall already?
*that feeds their kids things they don't even eat? (natto and sushi, for example)
*that falls asleep while putting the kids asleep? (and most of the time well before the kids themselves fall asleep)
Add on in the comments, if you dare!!

Back To School
A half a day of preschool and Sophie comes home with mud encrusted shoes and a daily temperature log for the month of September. Influenza has struck early this year and in an effort to curb the spread of it, the preschool is asking us to take our kid's temperature each morning before we send them off to school. Great, another thing I have to remember during the morning rush.
Tomorrow is a full day, which means lunches to make as well. Making lunches isn't that bad, though, pretty much arranging last night's dinner, slicing up some fruit and every once in a while adding a couple pieces of cheese. (Just occurred to me that I forgot to buy Anpanman candy cheese- a potential crisis if Bailey actually sees his lunch before he leaves home. Hubs if you are reading this, please pick up some candy cheese tonight after work.)
Why do I have the strange feeling that I am forgetting something else???
